Hey there, Intergalactic Sailors! The stars have aligned, and we’re thrilled to have an amazing fleet of captains and crew ready for adventure. However, the cosmic winds have sent us a message, and we need to adjust our trajectory. In abundance of caution and in effort to ensure a great sailing experience for all, the Lake Kegonsa Sailors Club has decided to postpone the “lift-off” of the Intergalactic Flying Scot Regatta until Sunday, due to high GUSTY winds. Here’s the mission briefing:Sunday, September 29th:8:30 AM: Skipper arrival at the launch bay (Amundson Landing) for boat set-up, registration and some tasty fuel from the galaxy (donuts and coffee).9:30 AM: Crew arrival AND Skippers Meeting: This is where we’ll assign your starships (boats) and go over our stellar plans! Tasty fuel available for crew as well!10:30 AM: Blast off! The first race will launch into the cosmic expanse, and we plan to run 3 to 4 races in quick succession. Don’t forget to grab a granola bar and some space fruit to keep your energy levels high (feel free to bring more substance if that's what you need!).2:30 PM: Return to shore for a Galactic Feast (chili dogs, chips, and some out-of-this-world desserts—BYOB).3:30 PM: Awards Ceremony to honor our spacefaring champions!YOUR NEXT STEP: Please send a signal to Katy_Freye@Yahoo.com to confirm if you’ll be joining us for this epic Flying Scot Intergalactic Regatta on Sunday! The weather on Sunday is worth the wait! The forecast is partly sunny, high of 77 degrees and tamer winds (9-12 mph with gusts to 15-20mph). Thanks for your understanding, and I can’t wait to see all of you star sailors on Sunday! ...
