Loop-Back Race
Setup: Windward/leeward or triangle course
The 1st boat around any mark must loop back or wait for the 3rd boat in the race to pass and then begin sailing again.
Boat Tribble
Setup: Windward/leeward or triangle course (short)
Two boats sail course from dock or race committee boat. Boats return to dock race committee after one (1) lap to pick up one (1) more crew. Continue race adding one (1) create each lap until boat capsizes or no more crew are available to be added. This probably works best with MC Scows.
Buoy Bump Race
Setup: Windward/leeward or triangle course
All buoys must be hit as boat passes. Boat or crew hits count.
360 Race
Setup: Windward/leeward or triangle course
First boat around windward mark and through the gate downwind must do a 360 turn before continuing on course.
Salom Course
Setup: Windward/leeward course with 3 or 4 buoys in middle of course
Boats are to sail a zig-zag course through the buoys upwind. Enter the salom with 1st buoy on port and proceed upwind through each pair of adjacent buoys. Do not go through the buoys downwind.
Long & Short Course
Setup: Windward/leeward course, two in-line windward buoys about 20 feet apart.
MC Scows sail around far buoy and all other boats sail around closer buoy.
