Our first combined event with the Waubesa Sailing Club is coming up on the afternoon of Saturday June 27th. We will join them for their annual Poker Run, which begins at 1pm at their club pier in McDaniel Park, next to the Green Lantern.
Bring plenty of cash: you’ll pay for your hand and your first cards. Then we sail to a few locations around the lake (like Christy’s Landing), adding more cards each time. It’s a great opportunity to see their lake and check out another fun sailing club, as well as trying out your luck.
There is room on some of the Waubesa boats–including the pontoon committee boat–for some Kegonsa sailors and we will take some boats over there if needed to accommodate everyone. If you’d like to join or if you have questions, please let Kathy Dutilly know, so we can be sure everyone gets on a boat.
Members, nonmembers, hopefully future members–all are invited to the annual LKSC Open House from 2-5pm, Saturday June 13th at Springers side yard.
Bring family, friends, neighbors–no boat or experience necessary. Free sailboat rides will be offered as well as plenty of info about the club. Help us spread the word about the many good things LKSC has to offer.

Charity Sailing Scavenger Hunt for Stoughton Food Pantry
Join us for an evening of teamwork, adventure, and giving back as we sail around Lake Kegonsa to support the Stoughton Food Pantry. Every clue you solve brings us one step closer to filling pantry shelves and making a real difference in our community.
Event Format
All participants will be split into teams. Each team sails its own boat and navigates using a series of clues. Follow each clue to advance through the scavenger hunt, culminating at our lakeside dinner spot. After dusk, we’ll return to our brightly lit boats for a magical night sail under the stars.
Location
Skipper’s meeting at 2156 Colladay Point, Stoughton, WI 53589. Gather at 2:30PM to get instructions, hitting the water at 3:00PM.
Schedule
- 2:30 PM – Check-in and skipper’s meeting
- 3:00 PM – Clue hunt kickoff
- 5:30 PM – Lakeside dinner and fellowship
- 7:00 PM – Board decorated boats for evening cruise
- 8:30 PM – Event wrap-up
What to Bring
- Life jacket (required) – we have extras if you need one!
- Warm layers for the night sail
- A non-perishable food item or monetary donation for the Stoughton Food Pantry
