Our first combined event with the Waubesa Sailing Club is coming up on the afternoon of Saturday June 27th. We will join them for their annual Poker Run, which begins at 1pm at their club pier in McDaniel Park, next to the Green Lantern.
Bring plenty of cash: you’ll pay for your hand and your first cards. Then we sail to a few locations around the lake (like Christy’s Landing), adding more cards each time. It’s a great opportunity to see their lake and check out another fun sailing club, as well as trying out your luck.
There is room on some of the Waubesa boats–including the pontoon committee boat–for some Kegonsa sailors and we will take some boats over there if needed to accommodate everyone. If you’d like to join or if you have questions, please let Kathy Dutilly know, so we can be sure everyone gets on a boat.

Your boat may be on the trailer but be sure to take a detour to Stoughton on your way to winter storage and join us for a full day of fun September sailing!
When: Saturday, September 26th; Start of the first race is 10:30. More racing after lunch.
Where: 3302 Quam Drive, Stoughton, WI. Amundsen Landing for Launching, also home of Jeff Newquist (next door) . Assistance will be provided for setting up and taking down.
Entry Fee: Nonperishable food items or cash for the Stoughton Food Pantry
Fleets: All boat types are welcome–a fleet of Flying Scots is guaranteed, there may be others.
Lunch: On your own at Springers between morning and afternoon races
Captains and Crew: Sailors are welcome to register as crew and we ask captains to accommodate as many as possible.
Prizes: Awarded back at Jeff’s: bottles of wine; the admiration of your fellow sailors.
Packing Up: MId-to-late afternoon after the afternoon races. Fine to bring a cooler with beverages/snacks and chairs for the end of the race.
Committee Boat: Room for helpers!
Motor Boat: We welcome motor boats to help with safety etc.

The 2025 Intergalactic Flying Scot Race of Champions will be hosted by LKSC on Lake Kegonsa on September 27th. Skippers will sail their own boats and will be assigned a crew at random. Some crew will be experienced, some may not. Bring along your regular crew, friends, neighbors, anyone that you’d like to introduce to sailing at this fun regatta! We will have volunteers available to help you with set-up, launching, and break down at the end of the day.
Cost: $20/person, optional donation to the Stoughton Food Pantry

Order some great Intergalactic gear: Store will be open through September 10th and all orders will not have any shipping charges and will be shipped to LKSC prior to the event on September 27th. We will distribute your gear to you the morning of the event at Amundsons Landing, Lake Kegonsa, where the Intergalactic Regatta will be launched from.
